Travel AND
Rescue Insurance |
TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that you get
comprehensive travel insurance

medical or airline problems may
cause you to cancel your trip.
Compensation for trip cancellations
or lost/damaged bags and/or
equipment due to any reason must be
claimed against your travel
insurance. No refund is offered for
time lost due to medical evacuation
of a passenger or reduction of dives
due to bad weather.
RESCUE INSURANCE
We VERY STRONGLY encourage all
members take out additional Rescue
Insurance to cover helicopter
evacuation in the unlikely event of
an accident or illness. We recommend

The balance is due 90 days
prior to departure.
Full payment is required for bookings
less than 90 days prior to departure.
Cancellations If you cancel…..
More than 3 months prior to departure:
full refund 2 - 3 months prior to departure: forfeit
deposit 1 - 2 months prior to departure: forfeit
50% of trip fee Less than 30 days prior to departure:
forfeit full trip fee
Refund Policy:
Eye to Eye Marine Encounters reserves
the right to cancel any trip prior to
departure in the event weather
problems*, operational issues or other
unforseen circumstances.
Refunds will be offered in line with the
charter vessels policies. For example if
Boat A that has been chartered by Eye to
Eye Marine Encounters offers a refund
for lost dive days due to unforeseen
weather conditions, Eye to Eye Marine
Encounters would then offer the
equivalent refund to their guests.
Alternatively, if Boat B refunds in
full, then Eye to Eye Marine Encounters
would then refund in full to their
guests. As every boat that we charter
has different refund policies, it is
only at that unforeseen time that we can
then convey the appropriate refund
policy to guests.
*Tropical storms (cyclones) can occur
between November and April.
Statistically only 1 week is affected
every 2 years. If a cyclone threatens
the safety of an expedition it would be
cancelled. Trip cancellation insurance
is recommended. These statistics are
based on 25 years of meteorological
records, however tropical weather is
variable.
Health Requirements: The regulations, requirements and
medical standards relating to diving in
Australia are among the most stringent
in the world. Participants must be in
good health and physical condition. Upon

the Diver Profile Form. You must inform
Eye to Eye Marine Encounters of any
existing medical problems. If you have a
history of heart or lung disorders,
asthma, epilepsy or insulin dependant
diabetes you must produce a diving
medical certification completed by a
diving medical specialist.
Disclaimer: The activities undertaken by Eye to Eye
Marine Encounters pose a higher than
normal risk- including but not limited
to decompression illness, extreme
weather conditions, exposure to marine
life, remoteness from medical care and
communications and evacuation
difficulties. Our Trip Leaders will
endeavour to maintain the highest duty
of care. In consideration of Eye to Eye
Marine Encounters accepting your
booking, you release Eye to Eye Marine
Encounters, it's employees and agents
and other representatives, from all
cost, liability, loss or damage incurred
